A native of Lee, Mass., Jane began her bartending career while working as the staff videographer for MASS MoCA in North Adams. After earning her bachelor’s degree from Bennington College in video and photography, she spent daylight hours working in the arts and many evenings learning the craft of mixology with a first stop at PUBLIC eat+drink in North Adams. Jane’s thirst for knowledge in the world of wine and spirits grew while working at Mezze Bistro + Bar in Williamstown (Allium’s sister restaurant). As an ambassador for first-rate hospitality, she was inspired by the food community here in the Berkshires – an outstanding group of thoughtful chefs, farmers and conscious eaters who appreciate honest food and value the region’s agricultural landscape. This magnetic force led Jane to pursue work in restaurants full-time. She moved to Allium in October 2015 and has been happily shaking things up behind the bar ever since. Jane currently lives at home with her husband Theo, and her cat Jackson. Outside of work, she enjoys basking in our current golden age of television, tending to her garden and hiking the beautiful Berkshire mountains.
